Future Of Health Is Here: You Can Now Swallow Computers In Pill Form

According to a new technology report,  Doctors and scientists have worked together to create an ingestible computer. The pill-form objects contain tiny sensors that help monitor the health of your body. The pills can collect data on how your systems are running, and transmit that information back to an external computer. Several companies are currently working on pill prototypes. Just this last year, Proteus Digital Health raised more than $60 million dollars to create their version of a computer pill, which is actually powered by the body. Rather than an internal battery system, the pill has copper and magnesium ends which generates electricity to power itself via stomach acids. The Proteus model requires that users wear a special patch that transmits information from inside the body to a cell phone app that tracks everything from blood pressure to body temperature to movement and rest patterns.
The development could have huge implications for everything from the monitoring of heart disease and diabetes, to the progress of schizophrenia or Alzheimer’s. That’s great news for people who have chronic diseases that need to be managed; doctors and family members could potentially be connected to the system to help monitor the health of a loved one.  But it also could spell trouble when it comes to privacy issues surrounding health information. After all, some of this data could be used to justify dropping or denying physically compromised patients from their insurance plans.

FROM BIG CHOP TO BIG FRO See Video Below

 FROM THIS

TO THESE

I remember vividly some time mid year 2012 the day i decided to go natural when i  ran a scissors through my hair and big chopped every strand of hair, i felt so relieved. Although the comments i got from family and friends wasn't that encouraging, people who usually pass good comments at me suddenly saw me as in-attractive, at first i was so bothered about my new hair look and i felt less confident of my beauty and bang i suddenly regain my self confidence without no regrets what so ever. When i traveled back to Nigeria [my home country] for a visit, due to my natural hair look people kept wondering if i truly just returned from the UK [ 'university of Lincoln [where i had my undergraduate studies in accountancy and financial management]. Each time i visited the salon people kept staring at me in amazement telling me i needed to relax my hair and most hair stylist do look down on you just because you are wearing a natural look some feel you do not have enough money to relax your hair. Although some says they admire my courage for going natural while others felt i was going nuts for deciding to go natural as the popular believe in Nigeria is for every woman to get their hair permed. Natural hair is believed to be seen only on maids, villagers, SU's [scripture union religious people] and the stereotyping for natural hair is related to being crude and uncivilized. I formally use to think that way but as i researched and read more about African hair and how to care for it I became more enlightened and as i got to know more about the health hazard that could be caused by relaxers that change everything.
  • Possible health effects of relaxers are scalp irritation, skin burns, permanent scarring, deep ulcerations, skin drying and cracking, dermatitis, irreversible baldness, eye damage including blindness and weak, dry, broken and damaged hair.
I decided to regrow more healthy hair by chopping off all my damaged relaxed hair and went all natural.
By going natural it gave me the opportunity to appreciate my natural God given hair, i was able to study my hair like a book during this one year growth i got to know the dos and don't for my hair, my hair became my pride, as we all know a woman's hair is her crown of glory so its appropriate for me to treat my crown of glory right. In doing this i do my best possible to eat healthy in other to feed not only my body but also my hair. As the saying goes we are what we eat, healthy living gives birth to healthy hair. What you sow is what you reap so therefore if you sow good nutrients into your body then you reap good hair, skin and overall well being. None the less, i do exercise as part of my hair growth regimen so i can confidently classify my hair growth regimen into these three habits
  • Intake of nutritious food and vitamins which include balanced diet with lots of water.
  • Regular exercise which include, aerobics, swimming and jogging
  • Daily hair moisturizing treatment which include oiling my hair and weekly deep conditioning which includes my home made hair mask. Below is how i make my deep conditioning hair mask.........
How i make my own deep conditioning hair mask
  1. peal 2 over ripe avocados in to a blender in the absence of avocado i do use 2 over ripe bananas
  2. add 5 tea spoons of mayonaise
  3. add 3 tea spoons of condensed milk, in the absence of condensed milk use 5 tea spoons of powdered milk, mix it into a thick liquid form
  4. if you want to lighten your hair add 5 tea spoons of honey if not skip  the honey bit
  5. if you want to thicken your hair add 1 raw egg for short hair or 2 eggs for long hair [the length is relative] in my case i do not use egg because i am satisfied with the thickness of my hair. If you have reasonable thick hair i would advice you skip the egg bit because too much of protein can break your hair. I previously tried it ones and my hair became too condensed that i couldn't comb through freely and so each time i force the comb through my hair it snaps and break, so be careful when you do this.
  6. And finally, i blend all these ingredients together and put it on my hair for 30 mins and i cover it with either a plastic cap or kitchen cling film, then wash it off after 30mins, this will leave your hair feeling soft and moisturized. PLEASE NOT: if you do not blend it so smooth, your hair will be filled with avocado or banana particles which would end up looking white and silly i was once a victim of this until i lent to blend it as long as possible to make it 100 percent smooth like body cream. So there for, i urge any one who wants to try out this process to make sure you blend it as long as possible in other to get a very smooth creamy kind of feel so the end result should look like this

Below is my one year hair journey on a slide show enjoy, i urge my viewers to kindly subscribe, like, and share this post. Any question?  PLEASE feel free to ask i welcome all comments thanks for viewing.
To all my lovely viewers i must tell you the hard work pays and i must confess that those who passed ugly comments at the beginning of my hair growth journey  now pass beautiful comments at my hair, although i feel so flattered about it but what will make me much more happier would be to see many more ladies and women going more natural and sticking to a healthy living [ i am happy to say my hair has inspired six of my friends to go natural 'TEAM NATURAL ALL THE WAY'],and still counting. This is where i rest my case for today.Did i forget to say aunty Bimbo was my hair inspiration, she took me through some necessary basic hair tutorial and vocational hair cosmetics courses i needed to know and she was always there in times of discomfort . Well i just deem it right to give kudos to her for inspiring me to go natural, by the way she is also on natural hair, her beautiful hair was my big inspiration.

How to creat Bantu Knots on Hair [my Messy Bantu knot out end result]

For the record this is my first ever Bantu Knot out see videos and end result in the pictures below.
This style is formed when your hair is twisted around itself until it forms a knot that resembles a stack of tires.  When you remove the knots your hair will resemble a corkscrew rope. Hair may then be separated with your fingers and, if necessary, finger combed to loosen the curl and shape it into the style you desire.  The finished result is a head full of springy, bouncy curls that may be as tight or loose, as defined or tousled as you desire.  It is an awesome way to style your hair without using heat and does not require much manipulation.

  • Start with detangled, well moisturized hair.  You want your hair to be smooth when creating the knots – tangled, dry or rough hair will not achieve the look you desire.
  • You can do bantu knots on DRY, WET or DAMP hair!   The end result varies for example if you bantu knot on wet or damp hair the end result is either semi defined or messy coils while the end result on dry hair comes out well defined and very curly.  Dry hair that is well moisturized produces the best results. [i personally made my bantu knot on damp hair].
  • Create sections according to the final look you want.  If you want to show your length, or have loose waves rather than defined curls make between two and four sections.  If you want large curls create 6-8 sections and for tight, springy curls do 10+ sections [personally i create 16 bantu knots on my head].
  • Do not over twist your hair.  Twisting the hair too tightly can stress your hair and cause.  Instead twist the hair about three to five times then wrap it on itself and continue until all the hair is twisted and wrapped into the knot.
  •  Use a moisturizing product with a light hold rather than synthetic gel or mousse.  If the product creates too much hold, the hair will not “fall” into a natural style.  Also synthetic gels and mousses can be drying and therefore damaging to the hair, instead opt for butters and pomades or natural plant gel based products such as aloevera gel or flaxseed gel base product
Use the greenhouse effect method at night use the greenhouse effect (cover with a shower cap) to create steam that helps “set” the style [personally i use cling film it grips my head better and more light weight].  In the morning after you remove the shower cap, your hair will be damp but do not disturb the knots until your hair is completely dry.  It usually takes about 15 minutes.  By doing this it gives the same lasting power as a bantu knot out that has been done on wet hair. just like this.
  •  Unscrew the knot.  Do not pull the knot apart; instead unscrew your hair to keep the form of the curl.  After the hair is loose the curl will still be intact and you can separate it gently using your fingers. [personally i wanted to have a very messy look so i finger combed my hair and pulled the knots apart to form this look].
Pineapple at night to preserve the curls.  After a full day of sporting your curly look, pin the hair up on the top of your head as shown below (or use a large ponytail holder) and wrap the sides with a scarf.  I also sleep in a satin bonnet night cap to keep my hair intact.  In the morning, pull the hair down with your fingers and style, your curls will be just as cute as the previous day.
